Hello friends, Quynn Elizabeth here. A Shamanic practitioner’s role is to serve the needs of her tribe. In the many cultures of the past, this role might look very different, yet usually ends up being similar. A “shaman” is called on to help her people stay healthy, help them fix any wrongs that cause sickness, and ultimately to help the group stay in the flow of the Godds/Multiverse/Nature.
In our times, and in our culture, many have been told that modern people are no longer called to be the equivalent of a “shaman”, (whatever you may call him/her). Since I have been called, seemingly without me seeking it out, I would say that folks in our culture, every culture, ARE called to shamanize. So, I am finding ways to plug into the multifaceted nature of our humanity, and the world around us, using the tools that we modern folks have. A few of these tools include drums and techno, websites and friction firemaking, living in a van and using digital video. Apparently, the possiblities seem endless.
I may look like just another American, and I suppose I am, yet I am also an ecstacy seeking, Earth loving, multidimensional being, as are YOU.
Viva Shamana!
